Fir Acres Writing Workshop Application: 2024

General Application period is now open. Applications must be received before or on March 8, 2024.

IMPORTANT: In order to complete this application, you will need the following materials saved as a PDF or Word Document. The application must be completed in one sitting and is not to be submitted unless all of your materials have been uploaded.

High school transcript, official or unofficial, including your most recent semester (photo screenshot is fine)
Writing sample in fiction, poetry, or creative nonfiction (no more than 5-10 pages)
Statement of purpose (300 words), explaining why you want to attend Fir Acres Writing Workshop, what the experience of living within a community of writers might teach you, and how you hope to develop as a writer and as a person
A letter of recommendation from a high school teacher (may be submitted separately)
Scholarship support form (if applicable)
Note: Proof of full vaccination (photo of vaccination card) will need to be emailed to the Director upon acceptance and registration in winter / spring 2024.
